Job Summary
The Senior HR Generalist serves as a business partner to client groups, responsible for
delivering innovative HR solutions that align with business objectives. The position
carries out responsibilities in the areas of employee engagement and retention, employee
relations, performance management, HR compliance and policy
development/implementation, training and development of managers and employees,
recruitment and special projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Continuously exhibit and uphold Core Values of Integrity, Accountability,

• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment,
to include maintenance of the Employee Handbook
• File EEO-1 report annually; ensure compliance with EEO regulations
• Ensure job descriptions are in place and up-to-date
• Handle employee relations matters, to include management coaching, conducting
investigations and participating in unemployment hearings
• Monitor the performance management process and revise as necessary
• Provide ongoing performance management guidance to management (coaching,
counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
• Develop succession plans; ensure existing plans are up-to-date and being executed
• Analyze trends and metrics; partner with management and Training and OD
Manager to develop solutions related to talent management efforts
• Identify individual and group training needs and solutions in partnership with
Training and OD Manager
• Create, maintain and distribute employee reports as needed
• Provide recruiting support as needed
• Assist HR Management with special projects as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Considerable knowledge of various areas of Human Resources to include:
employment law, recruiting, training, employee relations, performance
management and project management
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid customer service and relationship building skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and planning workload
• Ability to manage competing demands and deal with frequent change, delays or
unexpected events
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gathering and
analyzing information effectively
• Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor own work to
ensure quality
• Solid conflict management skills
• Ability to take initiative and anticipate customer needs; make recommendations
for implementation
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when performing all job duties
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience and Education
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of Human Resources experience, to include
Generalist responsibilities
• Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred
