Commercial Lines Insurance Advisor - California Territory
Our client is an entrepreneurial driven Insurance Services Agency. They are looking to hire a Commercial Lines Insurance Advisor!
This is an exciting remote workplace opportunity that will target the California territory with the opportunity to build their own book of business!
*Location is flexible throughout California
They are looking for a high energy insurance sales oriented producer that will be excited to prospect, solicit, quote and sell various commercial niche insurance products to new clients. Accountable for meeting and/or exceeding specific sales goals and key account renewal service standards that are determined during annual planning process.
This position requires advanced communication skills, a thorough knowledge of insurance products available through this agency and capability to pursue and close new sales. Ability to sell and explain additional coverages and gaps creating change in the way a client will think, believe or behave regarding insurance portfolio and business operations.
The incumbent serves as primary contact for agency support staff to build and maximize agency/policyholder relationships for all products and service.
Prospect and generate new business appointments
Develop strong relationships with clients through advising and offering all the value-added services available through client.
Prepare proposals and presentations of appropriate products and services
Identify, compile and manage information regarding key account renewal
Cross-sell opportunities for other departments (Personal lines referrals for now)
Attend and actively participate in agency sales training meetings
Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers
Continuous filling of the pipeline, and meeting monthly goals associated with the pipeline
Enter activity and other relevant information in the Vertafore AMS360/IR system
Continue professional development (industry changes, continuous sales training, pursue professional designations etc.)
Internal: Sales & Agency Management, Service Center Support Staff
External: Prospective and new policyholders; Insurance company staff from various departments; Insurance industry & trade associations.
50% or more travel is required by vehicle and/or air within the defined territory
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Must have 3 years of successful insurance sales experience. Property/casualty insurance background is preferred but not required. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook
Experience with Agency Management Systems
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must maintain a current, unrestricted property/casualty insurance license in the state of residence. May require nonresident license in other states and additional licensing in the Life, Health and Securities fields.
CIC desired but not required.
