Client Services Manager

The primary contact for client relationship management and account servicing, the Client Services Manager further enhances the client experience by working with Financial Advisors to provide recommendations, exceptional client deliverables, assisting in aggregating client assets in the financial planning and CRM software, and servicing as operational support during and in preparation of client meetings. The Client Services Manager is responsible for understanding firm policies, procedures and digital capabilities that will allow them to interact with Financial Advisors, as well as new and existing clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain existing client relationships through the processing of client requests
- Onboard new client accounts
- Manage underwriting process
- Assist clients with required paperwork
- Making sure key client information and documentation is up to date
- Resolving client inquiries
- Cultivate new client relationships working as a facilitator with Financial Advisors
- Supports Financial Advisors regarding asset allocations, case design and financial planning
- Consult with clients on investment strategies based on individual financial and investment objectives; deliver advice and participate in client reviews
- Learn technical aspects of the Financial Advisor position and prepare to service clients independently
- Identify asset retention opportunities; including viable alternatives when traditional solutions may not apply
- Deepen client relationships and establish credibility and rapport
- Clearly articulate complex concepts to clients
- Manage the five-step wealth management process
- Facilitate eMoney administration
- Making sure key client information and documentation is up to date
- Provide daily management of clients’ needs for insurance and RIA/brokerage operations
- Collaborate with B/D and custodian(s) to resolve client issues
- Utilize CRM software and web-based applications for data integrity and retention

Education/Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
- The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in financial services industry allowing for a strong understanding of broker/dealer operations and financial services products, including but not limited to: equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance and managed accounts
- Previous experience in the independent financial services culture preferred
- Previous experience with eMoney for data aggregation and financial planning preferred
- Series 7: FINRA General Securities Representative licensed
- Series 66: FINRA Uniform Combined Securities Agent and Investment Advisor State Law Exam licensed
- Licensed as an Illinois Life, Health and Disability Insurance Producer
- CFP preferred
- Must be willing to study for and pass additional federal and/or state exams relevant to position
