Director of Sales (Senior Cyber Advisor/Agent)

What the Sales Manager is and does:

  • Reports directly to the CEO and works collaboratively with the CEO and other staff to

ensure that there is daily appropriate progress toward sales goals and that allocation of resources is maximized.

  • Is a highly-motivated working manager who manages and sells, leading by example.

Models (and supports the sales team in) cultivating lasting relationships with customers to create customer loyalty.

  • Leads the development of sales strategy with the ability to “pivot” as sales results dictate in order to meet stated KPIs and revenue targets.
  • Manages, directs, coordinates the sales team, and is comfortable doing so virtually/remotely.
  • Provides initial and ongoing training (includes “sitting in” on calls and answering daily questions), coaching (includes one-on-one and group meetings), product education for the sales team crafting the most up-to-date messaging.
  • Assigns goals to the sales team members and assesses results.
  • Tracks and analyzes sales statistics based on metrics dashboard and drafts detailed sales reports.
  • Maintains compliance (of the sales team) with external regulations and internal policies
  • Promotes and participates in a company culture that is collaborative, professional, congenial and customer service-oriented

What skills does the Sales Manager have to possess?

  • Significant personal success in sales as well as success in leading and managing sales teams, preferably inside sales.
  • Ability to effectively lead, motivate, educate and nurture members of the sales team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills accompanied by the ability to “think outside of the box” and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Great time-management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication, listening and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledgeable in the effective use of Office 365, Zoom, SalesForce and other relevant technologies.
  • Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment that requires an understanding of complex products, concepts and issues which must be translated simply, clearly and concisely for potential clients/clients.
  • Possess knowledge of cyber security, cyber risk or cyber insurance (a plus but not required) OR have the ability…and willingness…to quickly acquire this knowledge.

What level of education, experience and professional certification/license does the position of Sales Manager require?

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role…successfully leading a sales team that consistently exceeded targets. Again, the leadership of an inside sales team is preferred.
  • A P&C license is preferred, though not required to apply. Should a candidate be hired without a license, they will have 3 weeks to complete the course and test
