Position Summary:
The James Allen Companies Inc. is partnering with a highly respected independent insurance adjustment firm to identify a Field Property Claims Adjuster focused on residential lines property claims. This organization has built its reputation by delivering high-quality adjusting services across Eastern and Central Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. With a leadership team offering over 50 years of combined claims experience, this firm emphasizes adjuster training, supervision, and technical excellence in the field.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for conducting on-site investigations, determining cause of loss, and preparing accurate repair estimates. The position is ideal for an experienced field adjuster who is comfortable inspecting a wide range of property losses and enjoys working independently while supported by a collaborative and experienced leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and assess residential property damage from perils such as wind, hail, fire, water, and theft
• Climb roofs and access hard-to-reach areas to accurately determine cause of loss and scope of damages
• Use Xactimate or Symbility estimating software to prepare detailed repair estimates
• Apply policy language to determine coverage and liability
• Communicate regularly with policyholders, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth claims experience
• Maintain accurate documentation of all claim activity in a timely manner
• Handle a variety of personal (75%) and commercial lines property claims independently, from first notice through resolution

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of property claims adjusting experience; field experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of residential construction and repair methods
• Proficiency in Xactimate and other industry-standard tools such as Symbility
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as organizational skills
Must be able to prepare clear, concise and detailed reports summarizing the investigation to the client
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
• State adjuster licenses (or ability to obtain them) for applicable states

Preferred Skills & Credentials:
• Experience handling CAT claims
• Professional designations such as AIC, CPCU, or equivalent
• Bilingual abilities are a plus
