Marketing Representative Commercial Lines

Responsible for management of agency relationships to include goal setting, goal monitoring, communication on frequent and consistent basis, and providing superior service levels consistent with company’s annual strategy. Also responsible for developing new agency partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Works with Underwriting and VP of Marketing to determine suitability of contracted agent.
Evaluates agents and maintains contact with them and underwriters. Reports findings and meeting results consistently and timely.
Provides guidance for and assists agent with risk appetite while helping them to grow a profitable book of business with our group of companies.
Assists Underwriting and CIMI brokers when requested.
Conducts face meetings and conference calls with current and potential agency force. Report on findings
Maintain a log of contacts including owners, producers, and all support staff within contracted agencies.
Discuss by oral or written communication, your agency plan and call objectives w/VP of Marketing prior to agency calls.
Performs special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and at least 2 years of experience in insurance marketing /other acceptable insurance capacity; or other equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that confirm to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
JOB TITLE: Marketing Representative
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Driver’s license, Agent’s license. AU, CPCU, CIC, CISR, CRM and /or other continuing education is desirable.
