🔹 Position Overview:

This individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of a regional claims team, providing guidance and supervision to local Claims Managers and Supervisors. The role involves managing large claims exposures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating cross-functionally with underwriting leadership to support business objectives.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise regional claims teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and timeliness of claim handling

  • Manage large loss files and oversee reserve evaluations and coverage analysis

  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for claims personnel

  • Review policy conditions, endorsements, and exclusions to resolve coverage issues

  • Coordinate with independent adjusters and third-party vendors

  • Partner with underwriting leadership on business planning and branch objectives

  • Support personnel administration, staffing decisions, and team development

  • Ensure accurate reporting, negotiation, and settlement of claims in compliance with company and jurisdictional guidelines

🔹 Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in multi-jurisdictional commercial claims including GL, Auto, Property/Inland Marine, Workers Comp, and Construction Defect

  • 5+ years managing claims professionals

  • Strong knowledge of complex coverage analysis and claims best practices

  • CPCU, AIC, or similar designation preferred

  • Proficient with claims software and technology

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Willingness to travel regionally, including overnight as needed
