🔹 Position Overview:
This individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of a regional claims team, providing guidance and supervision to local Claims Managers and Supervisors. The role involves managing large claims exposures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating cross-functionally with underwriting leadership to support business objectives.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:

Supervise regional claims teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and timeliness of claim handling

Manage large loss files and oversee reserve evaluations and coverage analysis

Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for claims personnel

Review policy conditions, endorsements, and exclusions to resolve coverage issues

Coordinate with independent adjusters and third-party vendors

Partner with underwriting leadership on business planning and branch objectives

Support personnel administration, staffing decisions, and team development

Ensure accurate reporting, negotiation, and settlement of claims in compliance with company and jurisdictional guidelines
🔹 Qualifications:
-
10+ years of experience in multi-jurisdictional commercial claims including GL, Auto, Property/Inland Marine, Workers Comp, and Construction Defect

5+ years managing claims professionals
-
Strong knowledge of complex coverage analysis and claims best practices
-
CPCU, AIC, or similar designation preferred

Proficient with claims software and technology

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Willingness to travel regionally, including overnight as needed
