The James Allen Companies is partnering with a well-established insurance carrier to identify a Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor for their Atlanta-based regional office. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned claims professional ready to take on a leadership role in a hybrid work environment, with occasional business travel to client offices and claims-related locations.
🔹 Position Overview:
Reporting to the Branch Claims Manager, this role is responsible for managing a team of claims professionals and overseeing Workers’ Compensation claims operations within the region. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of claims handling best practices, WC regulations, and the ability to lead and develop claims staff.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support the day-to-day activities of the assigned WC claims team

Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of claims handling and documentation

Provide training, feedback, and performance evaluations for team members

Review policies, endorsements, and exclusions to resolve coverage and liability issues

Analyze and evaluate reserves and settlements to ensure proper claim resolution

Oversee and manage the use of independent adjusters and third-party vendors

Stay current with jurisdictional and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with management on staffing, personnel decisions, and salary administration

Provide direct handling of a small number of claims, if needed

Support company values and culture through leadership and communication
🔹 Qualifications:

5+ years of experience handling Workers’ Compensation claims (commercial)

Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred

Knowledge of WC coverage, investigation strategies, and settlement techniques

Exceptional organizational and communication skills

Strong service orientation with the ability to manage internal and external client needs

Proficient with claims management systems and Microsoft Office

Authorized to work in the U.S.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR
