Qualifications include:
• Minimum of 4 years of commercial insurance experience
• Minimum of 4 years of account management or relationship management experience within insurance
• Current Property & Casualty insurance license required
• Experience managing and servicing middle market commercial clients
• Spanish proficiency is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Agency Management Systems, preferably EPIC
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Comfortable working a hybrid schedule with at least two days per week in the office
• Authorized to work in the United States
• B2B sales experience preferred
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
Licenses and Certifications
• Property & Casualty License required
• Life & Health License preferred
About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented individual to join a growing team. This role focuses on account management, sales, and customer service while working closely with leadership to grow and retain a commercial lines book of business.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage a dedicated book of commercial insurance business
• Provide professional and courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and colleagues
• Lead business development efforts within targeted customer and market segments
• Lead account rounding and cross selling efforts for assigned accounts
• Manage client service, marketing, and renewal processes for an assigned book of business
• Support new business inquiries, including quoting and binding new business opportunities
• Provide ongoing servicing of client accounts as needed
• Stay current on carrier programs, compliance requirements, regulations, and relevant industry information
• Meet or exceed customer service standards and client retention goals
• Act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve service and claims related issues
• Troubleshoot billing and service issues
• Document conversations with clients and carrier representatives
• Maintain accurate information within agency management and other computer systems
• Prepare reports for management as required
• Attend industry related continuing education training and courses
• Collaborate with and support colleagues as needed
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This position operates in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and artificial lighting. The role requires extended periods of sitting and computer screen use.
The individual must be able to communicate effectively in person and through electronic devices and work collaboratively with team members in an office setting.
The position requires the ability to perform complex tasks using independent judgment and apply knowledge to nonroutine situations. The individual must also be comfortable managing situations involving heightened emotions.
